Keyless Entry System – Flexibility, Reliability, & Security All Rolled Into One!

We’ve had so many great comments about our new keyless entry system at Disney Holiday Townhome (DHT) that I felt I needed to give it a brief review.

First of all, our keyless entry system is not like most keyless entry systems. Most systems have a single code that can only be manually set on the lock. Ours allows us to assign a different code for every guest from our browser at home! Your probably saying to yourself, “Sure, that’s super convenient for you, but how does this enhance your guests’ stay at DHT?” Well, I was just getting to that.

First off, there’s the security aspect. Often, vacation rental owners are not in a position to change the codes on their lockboxes or their low-end keyless entry systems after every set of guests. If a lockbox is used, there is also the possibility of having a duplicate key made by an unscrupulous guest. Our keyless entry system provides codes based on a specified time. Each set of guests gets a unique code for their stay. This code is only active during their stay, and cannot be used again at a later (or earlier!) date.

Second is the convenience factor. We have had several large parties stay at our townhome. Softball teams, multiple families, extended families – you name it. If everyone is doing their own thing, the question always arises – “Who has the key to the townhome?” Well, with our keyless entry system, everyone can have the “key”! No more issues with lost or broken (yes, we’ve had that happen!) keys. Also, guests can no longer accidentally take the key home with them while the next set of guests waits for us to have another key made!

I checked into several different methods of securing our townhome, and this is by far the best. As the title of this post says, “Flexibility, reliability, and security all rolled into one!” You’ll experience all of these while staying with us at Disney Holiday Townhome.
