Local Restaurants Vol 5 – Pizza!

Like just about everywhere in the US, Disney Holiday Townhome (DHT) is within delivery distance of most big-name pizza places. Papa John’s (good flavor), Pizza Hut (price and availability), Domino’s (same as Pizza Hut), and (God forbid!!!) Hungry Howie’s are just a few of these. I won’t review these, as I’m sure everyone has their own favorites. However, there is a pizza place just down the road from DHT that is definitely worth checking out.
NYPD Pizza
If you prefer Chicago-style pizza, read no further. Actually, that’s not entirely true – they do have a Sicilian style pizza as well. That would probably satisfy any Chicago-style fan.
This is New York style pizza at it’s best! You just have to eat this pizza New York style as well – folded in half, allowing the oil from the real cheese to flow out the bottom.
This is great tasting pizza! NYPD also has full entrees, calzones and sandwiches. I’ll probably get to these eventually, but it’s tough getting past the delicious pizza when you only get to Kissimmee occasionally!
Located in the same shopping center as Hershey’s Ice Cream and Smokey Bones (intersection of US 192 and SR 535), it’s just under 1 mile from DHT. If you like good pizza, and friendly service, you really need to make an effort to visit NYPD Pizza.
